Description

Ardingly has two Tennis Courts that are owned by the Parish Council.
-Sunday mornings are occupied by childrens coaching with Tom or Craig from Advantage Receiver Tennis.
-At the weekends we usually play doubles on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 pm,
-And on Tuesday evenings in the summer - and sometimes Thursdays.
-We play a few matches against other clubs and hold American Tournaments for our own members.
-Subscriptions are set at £40:00 per family.
For that you get a key to the courts and can play almost whenever you like. (The Parish Council can hire them out for football, basketball etc - but this rarely happens)

Tennis AGM 2008

The membership last year declined, now 23 family memberships. One match was played away to Balcombe, unfortunately Ardingly lost but it was a really enjoyable afternoon of tennis. An American tournament was held in June and was well supported.

Subscription for 2008/2009 will remain at £40.00 per annum per family membership this will include membership to Ardingly village Club.
Events for 2008 :

American Tournament (adults) Saturday 10th May at 2pm.
Tennis Pavilion (or Hut ?)

A possibility that could contain :
- Storage for rackets, balls and chairs
- Running water for drinks and electricity for lighting and kettles.
- Changing rooms, toilets, showers.
- Table Tennis for children (Balcombe have this)
Any thoughts ?
There is a proposal to upgrade the swings at the playgound.
Maybe we could join forces ?
